From 1981 to the present, I have been working as a registered nurse in the operating room. I have scrubbed and circulated on various surgeries such as general; gynecological; ear, nose, and throat; plastics; vascular; thoracic; orthopedics; oral/maxillofacial; pediatrics; podiatric; ophthalmology; neurological, and urological.

Also, I have been the evening charge nurse at Long Island Jewish Medical Center and was the evening charge nurse at North Shore University Hospital at Glen Cove. I was also the charge nurse at a free standing Ambulatory Surgery Center in Melville. I oversaw the functions of the pre-op holding area, monitored the turnover time between cases, ordered supplies and equipment, assisted in scheduling cases, and distributed narcotics to the anesthesiologists for administration to patients, as needed.
